Recent updates to DS have changed how we remove or change the background grid in Design Space. Previously, we could just click on the blank square on the top left of the grid. Clicking once would change the grid, clicking twice would remove it.
That option has been removed, but it's still possible to change the grid. Click on the three lines at the far top left of Design Space. Choose Settings from the drop down menu (it's about half way down the list) and then a box will pop up. From there, choose Canvas Grid, and you can switch from Full Grid to Partial Grid, or No Grid.
It's a few more steps, not nearly as convenient, but at least the feature is still there, for now.
